[…] This is one of very few (recordings), however, on period instruments – another gathering of soloists, from Australia and Europe, drawn from the ranks of the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra led by violinist Rachael Beesley.
(Paired with Eberl’s Symphony in E flat,) these are largely enjoyable performances and the unique coupling makes a valuable calling card for this inquisitive young ensemble.
