Darrin McCann, born in the U.S. and now an Australian citizen, lives in Sydney and enjoys an eclectic experience as a musician around Australia. He has a Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia; a Master of Music degree in Viola Performance Pedagogy and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Viola Performance from Arizona State University, where he studied with Viola Pedagogue, Dr. William Magers. He has performed with the Virginia Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Santa Barbara Symphony, Arizona Ballet Orchestra, Los Angeles Opera, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Queensland Symphony, the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, and with chamber ensembles in the U.S., Asia, and Australia. As a musician in the Los Angeles film, television and record industries, Darrin has performed on over 1000 recording projects.
