Anton Baba, an Australian violoncellist with a rich background in both classical and historical performance, is equally committed to performance and education. Following studies at the Eastman School of Music and the Royal Conservatorium, The Hague (specializing in Baroque cello and viola da gamba), he performed with leading European ensembles such as the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and The Gabrieli Consort. Now a key member of Orchestra of the Antipodes (Pinchgut Opera), the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Anton also dedicates his time to fostering musical talent in his community. As a member of the ACO Foundations team, he provides invaluable music education and creative skill development to students at St Mary’s North Public School.
