Of exploring beautiful music with historically informed performance on rare period instruments. Of joy, passion and innovation, unlike any other.
And, in honour of Richard Gill’s extraordinary legacy, we continued to INSPIRE, EDUCATE and CONNECT into our second decade of concerts, music education programs and community engagement across Australia.

2025 CONCERTS
BACH/MENDELSSOHN
ST MATTHEW PASSION
Bach’s iconic St Matthew Passion heard through Romantic ears in a recreation of the concert that sparked the 19th-century Bach revival. The Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, led from the violin by Rachael Beesley, partnered with Sydney Philharmonia Choirs conducted by Elizabeth Scott in an illuminating performance of Mendelssohn’s 1841 version – Australia’s first-ever on rare historical instruments.

MOZART’S CLARINET
REGIONAL QLD TOUR
Dancing strings, lilting clarinet – the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra returned to regional QLD with gorgeous chamber music from three brilliant composers.
‘Mozart’s Clarinet’ soars from joyful Schubert to the freshness of female composer Emilie Mayer and one of music’s best-loved pieces: Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, played on a rare historical basset clarinet.
